Basic Guidelines to Work Incident Report Writing for Repairs and Troubleshooting

Program overview

This Course introduces Participants to fundamentals and guidelines in Reporting Workshop and Field activities as involved during Inspection, Troubleshooting and Repair of Equipment.

This program will guide participants in identifying the root cause of any component failures and repair options.  

For Whom:

This program is designed for Diesel Engine Technician, workshop supervisors, field service engineers, preventive maintenance technicians and equipment maintenance advisors. Facility managers can equally benefit from this program.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this program, participants will be able to:

• demonstrate and explain the importance of effective job report writing;
• identify the readership and the report objectives;
• write clearly and unambiguously;
• report the root cause of failure (RCF) rather than the consequence and damages;
• write technical, informative, educative and problem-solving report; and
• give accurate repair recommendation to every maintenance job.
