Program overview:

Firefighting is the act of attempting to prevent the spread of and extinguish unwanted fires in buildings, vehicles, woodlands, etc. A firefighter suppresses fires to save lives, property and protect the environment.

One of the major hazards associated with firefighting operations is the toxic environment created by combustible materials. The four major risks are smoke, oxygen deficiency, elevated temperatures, and poisonous atmospheres. Additional hazards include falls and structural collapse that can exacerbate the problems encountered in a toxic environment.

The program is designed to equip participants with skills, knowledge and expertise that will enable them identify the conditions that can cause fire outbreak, know how to use the fire extinguisher, respond appropriately to fire emergencies, follow the fire evacuation plan and effectively implement fire emergency procedures in a safe and correct manner.

For whom:

This program is designed for workers in the Oil & Gas, Mining, Petrochemical, Manufacturing, Chemicals procession, metallurgy and other companies having a risk of fire outbreaks. Chief security officers (C.S.O.’s), Security managers, Supervisors, Safety managers, Facility managers, Administrative managers and others who find the course relevant will also benefit from this program.
