Workshop on Negotiation Skills for Managers and Leaders

Program Overview:

The ability of an organization to save money and times is largely dependent on the capabilities of its negotiators or those negotiating on its behalf. When funds are rightly saved, negotiators are seen to have done a good job. Loss of funds could spell doom for the organization. This course is put in place to equip participants with key negotiation skills and their applications when dealing with internal/external consultants and contractors.

For Whom:

This program is designed for Executive Directors, Directors, Senior Managers, Managers, Union Leaders, and Executive Officers including those responsible for corporate planning and strategy.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of the program participants will be able to:

• recognize organization benchmarks and apply appropriate standard operating principles;
• recognize the financial implications of utterances and actions during negotiations;
• prepare and project cost implications prior to negotiation proper;
• explain and act your role during negotiations; and
• develop practical strategies to improve standards of integrity for organization negotiation tasks in a sustainable manner.

Day 2

• Principles Concepts of Negotiation Skills
• Negotiating with Concepts of Accountability and

Transparency

• Development of Standard Operating Principles that support

effective management of negotiation strategies

Training Methodology: Lectures, discussions, exercises,

case studies, audio-visual aids will be used to reinforce

these teaching/learning methods.
